7 Best Beaches in Cambodia: Cambodia BeachesYou Need to Visit!

When we think back on our time in Cambodia, itโ€™s not just the temples that stick with usโ€”itโ€™s the beaches. Cambodiaโ€™s coast is dotted with stunning stretches of sand and dreamy islands that often get overlooked in favor of neighboring Thailand or Vietnam. But hereโ€™s the secret: Cambodiaโ€™s beaches are just as beautiful, often quieter, and far less developed. Whether you want hammock naps, sunset cocktails, or snorkeling with no one else around, these are the best beaches in Cambodia to check out.

1. Long Set Beach (Koh Rong)

Also known as 4K Beach, this long stretch of white sand and clear turquoise water is one of Koh Rongโ€™s most popularโ€”and for good reason. Itโ€™s developed enough to have cute bungalows and beach bars, but still feels peaceful and natural. Great for swimming, sunbathing, and walking along the soft shoreline.

2. Lazy Beach (Koh Rong Samloem)

Tucked on the west side of the island, Lazy Beach lives up to its name. This golden-sand beach is ideal for unpluggingโ€”thereโ€™s no Wi-Fi, limited electricity, and all the hammock time you could want. Bonus: Itโ€™s one of the best sunset spots in Cambodia.

3. Saracen Bay (Koh Rong Samloem)

This crescent-shaped bay is the main beach on Koh Rong Samloem and perfect for travelers who want that picture-perfect beach feel without sacrificing comfort. The water is calm and shallowโ€”great for families or anyone who just wants to float all day. Youโ€™ll find mid-range bungalows, beach cafรฉs, and boat transfers from Sihanoukville.

4. Otres Beach (Sihanoukville)

While much of Sihanoukville has seen rapid (and not always traveler-friendly) development, Otres Beach remains a bright spot. Itโ€™s more laid-back and artsy than the rest of the area, with chill beach bars and golden sand. Otres 2 is quieter and a good pick for a more local vibe.

5. Sunset Beach (Koh Rong Samloem)

A short jungle walk from Saracen Bay, Sunset Beach is a peaceful cove known forโ€”you guessed itโ€”killer sunsets. With a handful of rustic bungalows and a couple of backpacker-style bars, itโ€™s a great option for those who want simple living and epic end-of-day views.

6. Sok San Beach (Koh Rong)

Sok San offers a more remote feel while still being accessible by boat. It has a wide, beautiful beach and a mix of accommodationsโ€”from basic huts to upscale resorts. This beach strikes a great balance between comfort and seclusion.

7. Koh Thmei Beach (Koh Thmei Island)

Part of Ream National Park, Koh Thmei is an untouched paradise for nature lovers. Thereโ€™s only one eco-lodge on the island, and the beach is a quiet haven of shells, wildlife, and calm waters. If youโ€™re looking to go completely off the grid, this is the place.

Our Travel Must-Haves

Universal Charging Adapter

A friend of ours told us about this universal adapter when we were in Greece, and our lives were forever changed. We used to have to carry multiple adapters but now only carry this one as it has an adapter for every country and supports wall and USB chargers!

On The Go Phone Charger

We purchased two of these because we loved it so much. We are constantly using our phones, taking photos and videos while we travel, and never want to run out of charge. These portable chargers keep our phones fully charged at all times!

Disposable Hotel Slippers

We love hotel slippers, and some hotels give them and some do not, so we like to be prepared. Plus, the best part is, we can throw them out when we leave the hotel and make our suitcase lighter instead of carrying traditional bedroom slippers that we use at home.

We love these compression cubes! We are notorious over-packers, and these packing cubes help us keep our suitcase organized and underweight!
